Assistant to Creative Director job with La Garconne | 144913 – The Business of Fashion

La Garconne seeks an Assistant with strong administrative skills and a creative eye to support the Creative Director. The Assistant will work closely across Editorial, Marketing, Merchandising and Creative teams.

Responsibilities:

– Work closely across multiple departments for not only administrative activities, but also creative endeavors to ensure consistent brand point of view and values.

– Assist with photoshoots i.e., steaming, working in Photoshop, organizing and tagging samples, product data entry, etc.).

— Assist with copy, visual design, layout and production of promotional and marketing materials such as newsletters and social media postings.

– Research industry trends and potential vendors.

– Organize office for optimal use of space and accessibility, systematizing physical files and digital files, archiving media kits.

– Optimize office time efficiency and workflow, including scheduling/organizing meeting calendar, travel arrangements, phone/email communications, incoming mail, etc.

This is a part-time position which can lead to full-time status.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree.

– 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in ecommerce luxury fashion, magazine and/or fashion editorial office.

– Link to your portfolio is strongly preferred.

– Must be proficient in photoshop, excel, and social media platforms.

– Knowledge/experience with Canon DSLR systems and Capture One a plus.

– Experience with Shopify strongly preferred.

– Discreet, professional and well-spoken, with excellent written communication skills;

– Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

– Extremely well-organized, methodical and efficient.
